Enrolment Policy
Enrolment decisions in public schools are made according to criteria based on age, residential location, visa status and educational needs. As a local intake school, Landsdale Gardens Primary School prioritises the enrolment of children who reside within the local intake area. Landsdale Gardens must plan to ensure that there will be sufficient accommodation in the future. If you do not live in our local intake area, we welcome your application for consideration.
Enrolment in Kindergarten does not guarantee enrolment at Landsdale Gardens Primary School for the following compulsory year of Pre-Primary unless the child lives in our local-intake area. Applications for Pre-Primary will be considered by the Principal during the Kindergarten year as per the Department of Education Enrolment Policy.
Department of Education enrolment website
Parents initially complete an Application for Enrolment Form (Part A). Once eligibility for enrolment is confirmed, a formal School Enrolment Form (Part B) can be completed.
A birth certificate, proof of address (electricity, water, gas bill) and AIR Immunisation form must accompany the Application for Enrolment form. If applicable, you should supply copies of:
- Family Court or any other court orders
- Information relating to medical conditions, disability or other needs
- Evidence of visa subclass numbers, if you or your child is not a permanent resident/Australian citizen of Australia (For a child born in Australia to be an Australian citizen, at least one parent must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident at the time of the child’s birth).
- Student school report
Please note, submitting an Application for Enrolment does not guarantee you will receive a place at the school. The school will notify you in writing of the outcome of your application.
